“Serenade n.13” for string orchestra – also known as “The Little Night Music” – is one of Mozart’s masterpieces. Today, the serenade is widely performed and recorded; indeed, most of Mozart’s biographers opine that the it is the most popular of all Mozart’s works, they say “even if we hear it on every street corner, its high quality is undisputed, an occasional piece from a light but happy pen.”
HomeOrchestra arrangements of classical music standards is a very desirable addition to a school orchestra repertoire. It allows to choose a member of any group – keyboards, strings, woodwinds or brass – and give them an unprecedented opportunity to shine as a soloist of a symphonic orchestra from the youngest age!
