“Ave Maria” is a traditional Catholic prayer, celebrating the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus. It has been set to music many times, by more than 20 composers of various eras. Franz Schubert’s rendition of “Ave Maria” is by far one of the most popular settings. It was recorded by a wide variety and large number of singers.
