Description

“Sabre Dance” is a fragment from final act of Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian’s ballet “Gayane”, in this scene dancers display their skill with sabres. This song has became immensely popular, especially in the USA. Due to its popularity, “Newsweek” suggested that 1948 could be called “Khachaturian Year”! That year, three versions of the “Sabre Dance” reached number one in the Billboard Best-Selling Records by Classical Artists.

HomeOrchestra arrangements of classical music standards is a very desirable addition to a school orchestra repertoire. It allows to choose a member of any group – keyboards, strings, woodwinds or brass – and give them an unprecedented opportunity to shine as a soloist of a symphonic orchestra from the youngest age!
